FUNimation® Entertainment has acquired digital, broadcast, home video and merchandise rights to the fantasy anime series “Baka and Test — Summon the Beasts” (known in Japan as Baka to Test to Shokanju) and the supernatural action anime series “Dance in the Vampire Bund” and the from Media Factory. The agreement gives the American anime leader exclusive rights to the online streaming and simulcast of both series in the U.S.

Tea-drinking Liverpool thrashheads SSS have announced new dates, starting this week in London.  

Those pesky new Avengers keep revealing themselves, next up The Amazingly Spectacular Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman. Mr. Parker joins the premiere group in the Marvel Universe. First on the list was Luke Cage and tomorrow will bring more reveals.  

Marvel Comics has two words to say to Spider-Man’s alter ego Peter Parker — You’re Fired! Beginning in Amazing Spider-Man #623, on-sale March 3rd, everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood hero has to not only survive key arch nemesis Vulture’s reign of terror…but also losing his job at the Mayor’s office! Peter Parker lays it all on the line to protect J. Jonah Jameson and keep the city from ripping itself apart, but Peter’s sacrifice winds up costing his career as a photographer.  

CEO of New York based Wizard Entertainment, Gareb Shamus, announces his latest convention acquisition. Nashville’s Comic & Horror Festival is now Nashville Comic Con Wizard World Convention.

Classic Swedish death metal outfit N2002 has announced that all original members will reunite for their first ever performance outside of Sweden at this year’s Maryland Deathfest. N2002 will perform on Sunday, May 30th during this weekend-long festival that’s held every year in Baltimore, MD.  

It’s a bill that fans of horror and hard rock could only dream of until now: For the first time ever, the “gruesome twosome” — ALICE COOPER and ROB ZOMBIE — will play an exclusive limited run of North American tour dates beginning April 26 at the MTS Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  

Las Vegas rockers Taking Dawn have been included on the soundtrack to the highly anticipated Gods of War 3 video game. The soundtrack (available March 2nd) will feature the unreleased Taking Dawn track “This is Madness”, as well as new and unreleased tracks from Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Dream Theater, Opeth, and Mutiny Within.

In an earlier press release, we had stated that nothing said “welcome to America” like getting tased. Apparently we were wrong. YOUR DEMISE guitarist, Stu Paice just posted a rather alarming story on the band’s official Tumblr page about how the band was stopped at the Canadian border, searched and held at gunpoint by the police:
