Warner Bros. has announced they are going the reboot the Superman franchise. With author and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates writing and J.J Abrams’ Bad Robot label producing, there is still no word of a director attached to the project. Deadline reports that the project is a “reboot” of the Superman “Man of Steel” film. It is unclear if Henry Cavill will return as Supes again. MTV Entertainment Studios announced during today’s ViacomCBS Streaming Event presentation that Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, Wind River) has been tapped as the lead in the highly anticipated drama Mayor of Kingstown exclusively for Paramount+. Prolific director, Antoine Fuqua (Academy Award -winning Training Day), has signed on as executive producer in the new series from Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan – co-creator of Yellowstone, cable’s most watched show of 2020 – who recently signed a multi-year pact with ViacomCBS and MTV Entertainment Group.
Today, Image Comics’ President Todd McFarlane announced his bold attempt at creating his own multi-character, interconnected comic book universe.
