Psycho California, the west coast’s preeminent heavy music festival which runs May 15 to 17 at The Observatory, has announced The Road To Psycho, a week of shows leading up to the three-day, fifty plus band event.  

The concept of the open-air heavy metal music and camping fest, so popular in Europe, seems to be a rarity in America. The organizers of SHADOW WOODS METAL FEST hope to change that with their inaugural fest happening Sept 25th – 27th, 2015 in Fannettsburg, Pennsylvania in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.  

Nomadic, apocalyptic doom cult, THE BODY, is currently embarked on its latest two-month-long crusade, reigning end-time sermons upon the masses through a barrage of incomprehensibly heavy tonal destruction. With a week of the tour already behind them, tomorrow begins the next massive phase, when the duo congregates with their cohorts in Full Of Hell for a month of travels together. Today, Louisiana’s GOATWHORE announces a North American headlining tour in support of their critically-lauded full-length, Constricting Rage Of The Merciless. Following a stretch of one-off dates in Mississippi, Florida and Texas in May, the journey will officially commence in June at FreePress Summer Festival in Houston, Texas. The cross-country run will trample its way through thirty-four cities, drawing to a close on July 12th in Atlanta, Georgia. Support will come from Ringworm, Black Breath, and labelmates, Theories.  

Southern California’s GOATSNAKE has just released the first single from their anxiously awaited brand new LP, Black Age Blues, with a premiere of the album’s second track, “Elevated Man“!  

Akron, Ohio’s MAID MYRIAD will take their wildly infectious progressive/melodic post-hardcore tunes to American audiences everywhere on an extensive US tour this Thursday, April 9th, with a kickoff solo show in Cleveland. Directly following the solo one-off, the trio will sync up with progressive/instrumental metal trio, The Fine Constant, in Erie, Pennsylvania, beginning The Woven In Haste Tour 2015. The massive forty-one city, co-headlining run will encircle the entire country in a clockwise course for six weeks, with the final show taking place May 23rd, in MAID MYRIAD’s hometown.
