As previously announced, progressive Metal legends FATES WARNING will be releasing 3 CD/DVD expanded edition of their critically acclaimed 1997 release “A Pleasant Shade of Gray” October 2nd on Metal Blade Records. “A Pleasant Shade of Gray” is a single song that is divided into twelve tracks. The album is notable for its darker mood and mixture of progressive rock and metal with hints of industrial, classical, and psychedelia. Pre-orders for the album have been launched, along with a live cut from the DVD.
Greensboro, North Carolina-based IRATA has completed their latest recording, the band’s second full-length, dubbing it Sweet Loris. The album is currently being pressed to vinyl and will see release through Kylesa-founded record label, Retro Futurist, in early October. Additionally, the band will support Kylesa alongside Inter Arma and Indian Handcrafts on an Eastern US tour in conjunction with the album’s release.
Following their recent North American expedition supporting Superjoint and King Parrot on the successful It Takes Guts tour 2015, Detroit’s favorite punk/metal/noise rock eccentrics, CHILD BITE, take to the streets again later this week for a short run of live abrasions supporting Down! Preparing for liftoff this Thursday August 6th in Louisville, Kentucky the band will antagonize ten locales including a performance at Dirt Fest in Birch Run, Michigan and Gwar B-Q in Richmond, Virginia with the caravan of chaos coming to a close on August 16th in Wilmington, North Carolina. Virginia-based black metal trio, UNSACRED, is currently out on the road supporting Noisem on a sixteen-date run through the Southeast US, with three dates also including Homewrecker. Having already burned through Louisville, Nashville, Birmingham and Jackson, Tampa and Pensacola, the tour rages into Orlando tonight and then blazes straight up the East Coast before smoldering to a close in Baltimore on August 9th.
New Jersey grinders ORGAN DEALER have issued a tour update to warn those fearful of the war machine and to welcome those joining the band in battle. First strike capability to be demonstrated at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar with Artificial Brain, Cognitive, and Skullshitter on July 30 (aka Visceral Infection Record Release Show). Seattle’s BLACK BREATH has completed their third LP, Slaves Beyond Death, and is preparing the album for worldwide release this September through Southern Lord Recordings.
