Last week, fans got their first glimpse at a brand-new hero set to debut this June: SOMNUS! Fans eager to learn more about this mysterious character will have to pick up MARVEL’S VOICES: PRIDE #1 where his fascinating backstory will be told by critically acclaimed writer Steve Orlando (Wonder Woman, Curse of the Man-Thing) and, in her Marvel Comics debut, Eisner-nominated artist Claudia Aguirre (Hotel Dare).  

This June, Marvel Comics will commemorate Pride Month this year with a new series of stunning variant covers by legendary artist Phil Jimenez! These PRIDE MONTH VARIANT COVERS will spotlight Marvel’s growing LGBTQ+ representation, and when first announced in March, fans got to see Jimenez’s incredible depictions of Iceman, Daken, America Chavez, and Northstar. Now check out another popular hero, Black Cat in a stunning cover that will proudly adorn the cover of BLACK CAT #7, an upcoming issue of Jed MacKay’s hit ongoing run.  

The bestselling series The Department of Truth by James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds is taking on cryptid creatures this June with a two-part hunt for BigFoot. The chase begins with The Department of Truth #10 in June and will follow on hot pursuit with The Department of Truth #11 in July.  

From writer Leah Williams (X-Factor) and rising star artist Lucas Werneck (Empyre: X-Men) comes THE TRIAL OF MAGNETO, a new X-Men series launching in August. Spinning out of the stunning events of June’s Hellfire Gala, THE TRIAL OF MAGNETO will deal with the aftermath of a violent death that occurs on mutantkind’s big night.<  

Both issues #2, and this week’s issue #3, of the breakout hit series Nocterra by Scott Snyder and Tony S. Daniel have sold-out at the distributor. Rush reprints are being fast tracked by Image Comics in order to keep up with growing demand.

In advance of its highly-anticipated April 30 season one finale, Amazon Studios today announced it has renewed Robert Kirkman’s (The Walking Dead) hour-long, adult animated series Invincible for a second and third season. Seasons two and three will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.  

Image Comics is pleased to reveal a special Pride Month variant cover, featuring all-new art by Davide Tinto, for the forthcoming Commanders in Crisis #9 by Steve Orlando and Tinto. This exciting new issue will hit shelves in June from Image Comics.  

This June, Marvel fans everywhere are invited to the HELLFIRE GALA! Running through 12 issues of your favorite X-Men titles, the HELLFIRE GALA will be a first-of-its-kind X-Men crossover that will reveal the status quo-shaking plans the X-Men have for the Marvel Universe. And this Wednesday, fans can get a first look at this highly-anticipated event with the HELLFIRE GALA GUIDE.  

The shocking ending to last week’s Stray Dogs #3 by Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner left fans stunned. A ripple effect of buzz surrounding the issue’s gut-wrenching revelation sent a flurry of tongues wagging and readers not yet caught up on the series made a beeline to stores to find out what happened. Stray Dogs #3 inventory has sold-out completely at the distributor level and Image Comics has fast-tracked a reprint in order to keep up with reorders.  

On May 19th, award-winning writer Gene Luen Yang and rising star artist Dike Ruan continue their bold transformation of the Shang-Chi mythos in a brand-new ongoing series. To celebrate this exciting new chapter, SHANG-CHI #1-6 will have a collection of spectacular variant covers by renowned artist Michael Cho that foreshadow the epic brawls that await readers in each issue!  

Free Comic Book Day 2021 will be celebrated at your local comic shop on August 14th, and this year Marvel Comics will release two Free Comic Book Day titles, each containing two separate stories. These exciting tales will provide perfect entry points for new readers to the thrilling ongoing sagas of the Avengers, Spider-Man, Venom, and the Hulk and give comic fans their first glimpse at the exciting new eras for their favorite characters.
