“ZOMBIE, The EP Comic,” a limited-edition, traditional-sized comic book based on the fictionalized adventures of rising metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada, bundled with the band’s upcoming “Zombie EP” (Ferret), will be available at retail exclusively at all Hot Topic stores for $9.99 beginning August 24.
Not long ago, we helped break the news that acclaimed pop-up artist Matthew Reinhart would be tackling the DC Universe with Little Brown and Co.’s DC SUPER HEROES: THE ULTIMATE POP-UP BOOK. Did you really think things would slow down? After a week that was all-news, all the time, we’ve got plenty more to throw your way as we head into San Diego Comic-Con. But before we do, let’s stop and take a look at the Batman titles hitting in October. Specifically, the BRUCE WAYNE: THE ROAD HOME one-shots.
As some of you may have seen around the web today, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY debuted the cover to their upcoming Comic-Con issue, and on said cover is none other than Ryan Reynolds, star of the June 2011 Warner Bros. GREEN LANTERN film, in costume. Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, the cocky test pilot gifted with an immensely powerful Green Lantern ring powered by will. Needless to say, it looks amazing. It’s exciting to see the costume for the first time.

Those are just some of the questions being faced by the new heroes that take the mantle of the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents – a new and modern take on the classic 1960s property for today’s reader.
One of the most beloved characters to come out of the Milestone/DC partnership and a presence in TEEN TITANS (not to mention a star of his own cartoon series), Static will be starring in his own ongoing series, launching in 2011 and written by Felicia Henderson. We’ll have more details on the series – including the art team – in the coming months, so stay tuned to this very blog.
