Today, IDW Games announced the official release date for the first in a series of CHEW tabletop games. CHEW: Cases of the FDA will be available in May of 2015. This fast-paced, high-laughs card game features art by Rob Guillory, including a brand-new box cover, as well as text by CHEW creator and writer, John Layman. IDW Games tapped designer Kevin Wilson (Descent, X-Files, Arkham Horror) to create an appropriately over-the-top card game worthy of the CHEW name.

Last year, when the new television season was upon us, many in the geek/comic book community were excited with several DC Entertainment entries on several different networks ready to premiere. We had The Flash, with the entire spotlight on the “scarlet speedster”, this show, spawned from the current hit “Arrow” was expected to be a runaway hit. Then we had Gotham, the dark and gritty retelling of the Batman mythos without Batman. This one features most of the Dark Knight’s rogues gallery of villains including Catwoman, The Riddler and an up and coming crime boss known as the Penguin who played by Robin Lord Taylor has become the breakout star of Gotham and has already become a seminal hit.
Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, the creative team behind some of comics’ best crime noir series like CRIMINAL and FATALE, return with THE FADE OUT. Set in the heart of noir itself, the backlots and bars of Hollywood in 1948, the first volume of the most ambitious series to date from Brubaker and Phillips will be in stores in February.
Marvel, in collaboration with the rap group, Run The Jewels, will be release two unique variant covers to celebrate the one of the currently most distinctive and celebrated names in rap. Deadpool #250, by Skottie Young, and Howard the Duck #2, by Mahmud Asrar, will feature Deadpool, Howard the Duck and Rocket Raccoon, as they display their love for this rap group by replicating their socially iconic logo on these variant covers.
