Finnish death metal band Kalmah have released a music video of a single coming off of their new upcoming album, Seventh Swamphony. This album is being put out through Metal Interjections. Swaphony cleverly titled due to the described sound of the band which is “swamp metal”.  

Entertainment Weekly has released a first look at “The Winter Soldier” from the up coming Captain America: Winter Soldier”. The Winter Soldier is former Captain America sidekick Bucky Barnes, returning as a mind wiped super mercenary working for hire to the highest bidder. This is the version which first appeared in Captain America Vol. 5 #5. Captain America : The Winter Soldier will be released April 4th 2014.

However, unknowing camera man took a fatal shot of Emma Stone playing Gwen Stacy in an extremely familiar outfit that shows exactly how her fate plays out to anyone who is familiar with the images. At Entertainments Weekly’s Capetown film festival on Saturday May 4th, a 30th anniversary screening of Return of the Jedi was shown. Mark Hamill, formerly Luke Skywalker appeared to the crowd as a surprise guest. Not only did Hamill share plenty of nostalgia in making the entire trilogy of Star Wars, but affirmed to fans that he is back and signed on for the next sequence of movies. LucasArts hasn’t immediately said that they are infinitively reprising any roles, however, Hamill made it extremely clear without blatant statement that he will be included. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly this week with Marvel president Kevin Feige, we as fans discovered a plethora of nerdgasm news. The conformation of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witches involvement in Avengers 2 for starters as well as new concept art for Bucky Barnes in Captain America: Winter Soldier. But, the most important news of the day was that some of the most beloved characters that were slaughtered by their on screen performances, are coming back home.  

In a recent interview Star Trek star Zoe Saldana revealed that she has been cast to play Gamora in Marvels new Guardians of the Galaxy film. How will Marvel bring the picturesque alien assassin, the lone of her race, from comic book pages to the screen? What tactic will be employed? Will it be CGI? Motion Capture? None of the above, Marvel is using merely makeup.  

Marvel is releasing teasers of X-Men #1 featuring shots of all of the heroines. Storm, Rogue, Jubilee, Kitty Pryde, Rachel Grey, Rogue & Psylocke are all featured in the cover of the new book written by Brian Wood writer of the Ultimate X-Men comics and artist Oliver Coipel who is responsible for Avengers VS. X-Men.  

Nintendo has announced that they plan to do a whole slough of new 3D games aired to release in October. The rumor comes for CV claiming “discussions with retail chains at executive level.” With many knocking the console because of it’s lack of games released and it’s price it’s about time they made up for it. However in this discussion they “have helped restore retailers’ faith in the console, which has been hit by errors since launch.” There is still a lot of speculation as to if this console came to early trying to get an edge on the new Xbox and Playstation console a year before. In my opinion, trying to get ahead of the game, put them way behind.  

Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman he passed at a hospital near his home…he was 49 years old. Hanneman was recovering from a “Flesh Eating” bacteria the past couple of years, and was not currently on tour with the band. The band stated he passed from Liver failure. More news as it breaks.  

Today on Yahoo there was a rumor announcement that Chronicle star Michael B Jordan is in contention to play Johnny Storm in Josh Tank’s reboot of Fantastic Four. As surprisingly decent that Chronicle was there is a lot of controversy around this young star playing the Marvel wise crack character.  

Master We Perish, the new EP from The Body was released this week. This band comprised of Lee Buford who is the rhythm mind of percussion and Chip King the guitar and vocals of the band. They recorded in Rhode Island this summer with a slough of other artist to help with the compilation of their new album.  

Eurogamer has reported that in a demo version of the Last of Us released with God of War: Ascension, there is a list of cutscene names hidden away within the code. Anyone know that anytime you release code into the nerd world someone is going crack it and spill everything that it’s worth. The codes contain very strong allusions to the game’s ending, as well as shamelessly revealing what happens to main characters. They’ve also found a full list of weapons and multiplayer details.
