» Blog Archive Johnny Blaze Coming Home! -
Amanda Harvey Comic Book News, News

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly this week with Marvel president Kevin Feige, we as fans discovered a plethora of nerdgasm news. The conformation of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witches involvement in Avengers 2 for starters as well as new concept art for Bucky Barnes in Captain America: Winter Soldier. But, the most important news of the day was that some of the most beloved characters that were slaughtered by their on screen performances, are coming back home.
Punisher, Daredevil, and Blade had previously been reverted back to Marvel Studios enabling a new flavor of reboot in the near future. In great news revealed we now know that our biking soul dealing badass, Johnny Blaze, better known as Ghost Rider is back as well. ”Whenever a character comes back to us, it’s usually because because the other studios don’t want to make the movies anymore — and that usually means the [previous] movies have not been well-received,” Feige stated. OBVIOUSLY! Columbia couldn’t have possibly messed up the Ghost Rider series worse than they did. It was a literal atrocity. That whole era of Marvel films were pretty much the worst thing I’d ever seen. However with the production of films since the launch of Marvel Studios, I’ve had nothing but faith in the company to rectify any previous mistakes that were made. This revert comes in lieu of cancerous Ghost Rider: The Spirit of Vengeance that was quickly constructed in order to preserve licensing rights and keep Johnny Blaze from going back to Marvel. In this speedy process the company went on without Nicholas Cage playing Blaze and flailed at the box offices. Last March, Cage stated that he’s done playing Johnny Blaze, “I’ve done what I had to do with that part. You never say never, but right now, today, I would say that I’m done.”
This news including the Daredevil news last fall Marvel now has back almost every franchise that they have ever had, excluding Spiderman, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. Due to some sick deal with the Hollywood devil, the rights to these films will forever be held by separate companies so long as said companies produce films with their title in adequate amounts of time. However, after watching Wolverine Origins, I have a feeling that it’s not going to be long before we have the mutants back on our side again.
Speaking of speculation, with the titles that are back under the studios name can we potentially see a Marvel Knights film coming into play? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?
