Eternal Descent comic book presales for issue #5 are now available. Issue #5 features guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel of popular metal band Atreyu . In the storyline inspired by the Atreyu song “Black Days Begin” from the album “Congregation of the Damned”, the battle of Wayne Static from the previous issue has left the city in smoldering ruins and Lyra Constance burning with a new determination: find Loki and bring his reign of madness to an end once and for all. But in Loki’s lair, nothing is ever as it seems. What looks like a way in could be a perilous trap lying in wait.
Calling Pink Floyd heavy metal is a stretch and I know that as I set out to write this review, however their influence in heavy metal is prominent considering bands like Korn, Voivod and 1349 have all covered a Pink Floyd song over the course of their careers. Therefore, I felt it prudent to post a review of Roger Waters performance of The Wall: Live at Madison Square Garden from October 6th.
On the heels of the cancellation of their European tour, Austin, TX’s The Sword are also regretfully canceling the remainder of their scheduled US dates due to the departure of their drummer, Trivett Wingo. The split is amicable and both Trivett and the rest of the band wish each other the best of the luck with their respective plans. The Sword are already working diligently to reschedule their European and US dates. Trivett explains:
