Illinois trad-metallers Züül have posted a new track on its Myspace page. “Skullsplitter” will be included on an upcoming 7″ release and you can stream it in its entirety right here: www.myspace.com/zuulcontact.

Züül released its acclaimed debut album Out of Time on Planet Metal earlier this year and it continues to receive high praise from the metal press.  If you’d like to get in on the action please contact clawhammerpr@gmail.com.
“There are no frills, gimmicks or trends to be heard on Out of Time – it’s a raw clump of coal housing an unpolished gem deep within, and it’s damn near flawless. Züül‘s Out of Time will be a worthy competitor for album of the year.” – Teeth of the Divine “Out of Time is a fitting tribute to…the best period of heavy metal history, hands down. It’s classic, simple metal that catches both your attention and the brilliance of that wonderful period. Züül is the band to watch!” – Metal Psalter

“Out of Time bulls forward, mixing the likes of Diamond Head or Angel Witch with punk. This music needs to be meant, and Züül more than mean it. They tear it from their guts and hurl it with bravado, snot, and piss.” – Invisible Oranges

“‘Out of Time’ needs to be a part of every traditional heavy metal fans collection” – Brutalism

“There is plenty here to appeal to those of us within whom the heart of NWOBHM still beats.” – Metal Review

“Züül have conjured up a fresh and exciting album of glorious heavy metal untainted by passing fads and trends. Essential listening!” – Metal Team UK

“An album that takes us to the golden age of Heavy Metal and that will delight fans of such music.” – Queens of Steel

“What they’ve managed to produce on their debut sounds so cool, you can’t help but feel that this release is nothing short of a long lost classic that’s been unearthed, dusted off and re-released on CD for the first time after languishing in obscurity on vinyl.” – Blistering

“Zuul is pure fast metal in the mold of early Maiden and especially Tygers of Pan Tang, with a little bit of Diamondhead and Thin Lizzy at their hardest thrown in. Great driving metal tunes with LOUD guitars coming at you from everywhere!” – Wormwood Chronicles

“Taking a “non-stop intensity” for their motto, Zuul provide nine tracks of great driving music, riffing it away in the style of early Maiden, Diamond Head and Tygers of Pan Tang, concerned mostly with the fact their next hook is more massive than their last.” – Metal Reviews
