In an announcement made today, Haunted Movies partner Jason Blum unveiled plans for the company’s next picture, The Lords of Salem, to be directed by Rob Zombie from a script by Zombie. Set in modern-day Salem, the film involves the demonic return of a 300-year-old coven of witches.

Ibex Moon recording artists and death metal purists GRAVEHILL have been added to the already stacked lineup for next year’s Maryland Deathfest. Set to take place May 27 – 29 @ Sonar in Baltimore, MD, Maryland Deathfest is heralded as America’s biggest metal party of the year. The following bands have been confirmed for MDF 2011 thus far:  

So let me start off with saying that when I heard that “The Batman” animated series was being cancelled and replaced by the new Batman: The Brave and The Bold series, I was a bit upset. I, unlike many animated Bat-fans liked “The Batman” series, especially in its final season as members of the JLA were making individual appearances. So, I resisted a bit on catching up with The Brave and The Bold. Then I watched a couple of episodes on the Cartoon Network, and lo and behold, I was hooked.  

The last few years have not been kind to Zakk Wylde. He was diagnosed with a severe blood clotting disorder that led him to quit drinking, longtime BLS drummer Craig Nunenmacher departed from the band, and Zakk was released from his long time duties as lead guitarist for Ozzy. Where most artists would fall apart or begin to self destruct, Zakk bounced back and wrote one of the best Black Label Society albums to date.
