2015 was a busy year for SUNN O))). Following the recent release of the triadic entity Kannon — their first full-length album since 2009’s Monoliths And Dimensions — a series of magnificent European appearances, culminating in their curation of four days at Utrecht’s Le Guess Who? festival, the band now presents the news that their live album, Dømkirke, will see dawn of day again this February.
Chicago’s celebrated torchbearers of instrumental metal, PELICAN, will return to Europe for a string of dates this Spring. This marks the band’s first European tour since the successes of their innovative 2013 LP Forever Becoming and 2015’s 4-track EP, The Cliff — both released via Southern Lord — and their 2014 Arktika live 2xLP.
Passing their three decade mark this month, NEUROSIS has confirmed that the band will be returning to Electrical Audio in Chicago with engineer Steve Albini on December 27th to record their forthcoming brand new LP, their follow up to 2012’s Honor Found In Decay. Additional details on the album and its approximate release in 2016 will be revealed in the early months of the year.
Tennessee’s WHITECHAPEL are set to tear across the United States next week with Australia’s Psycroptic and newly-signed Metal Blade labelmates Culture Killer. The onstage annihilation begins November 2nd in Warren, Michigan clobbering nineteen cities and drawing to a close November 21st with a home state show in Nashville.
