One of America’s hardest-hitting indie acts, Chicago’s TRIALS has finally unleashed their debut album Witness to the Downfall unto the masses.  Featuring a riff arsenal and tuneful sensibility that rivals the likes of MACHINE HEAD, SYL and GOJIRA, the musical approach taken by TRIALS on Witness to the Downfall is not only refreshing, memorable, and musically penetrating, it is ridiculously intense!  

Viking Thrash band THE HORDE (IL) has inked a deal with STORMSPELL RECORDS.  Their sophmore album, entitled Thy Blackened Reign is set for a September release.  Commented the band: “We are all very happy to be a part of the Stormspell roster,” said guitarist Tim Matthews. “Thy Blackened Reign is our second album, and it’s by far our heaviest and most diverse to date. Recording in analog helped get that old school feeling without losing any of the sonic power thatis held in high regard in today’s extreme metal scene.”  

POP EVIL have announced dates opening for 3 DOORS DOWN on the “Time Of My Life Tour” this fall. Dates will span through out the east coast and south west.  

Volturyon has a new face and voice! Swedish death metal destroyers have officially announced Alexander Högbom as the band’s new vocalist. Replacing Olle Ekman, Högbom is in for a baptism by fire as Volturyon performs with Demonical on the Eastern Death Infernal Tour.  

The story is building for the Southern California trio KYNG–singer/songwriter/guitarist Eddie Veliz, bassist Tony Castaneda and drummer Pepe Clarke Magaña—whose debut album, TRAMPLED SUN, is due out September 27 on REALID Records (through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group).
