By The Scarlet Avenger So, while I was watching the pilot episode of the critically acclaimed show Southland, and I thought to myself, what the hell was NBC thinking, canceling this show right before the beginning of its second season? (One thing I will say, is the show has a high level of violence attached to it). Either way, that would be no excuse for this show to go the way of the scrap heap. Thank goodness it was picked up by TNT. The first season of the show is being rebroadcast with the unseen second season airing as well.

Swedish avant-rockers CULT OF LUNA are set to have their first two albums released on vinyl LP for the first time ever. Earache Records will be releasing CULT OF LUNA’s self-titled debut album and its follow-up, THE BEYOND, on January 25th on limited edition, double gatefold, coloured vinyl LP, marking the first time these album have ever been pressed on vinyl.
No not really, but the band has cancelled 2 shows, Baltimore and NYC this coming week, but the reason is because the Canadian heavy metal band whose “Cinderella” story, “Anvil! The Story of Anvil,” is nominated for a Critics Choice Movie Award in the category of Best Documentary, will travel to Los Angeles to attend the awards presentation that will be held at the Hollywood Palladium this Friday, January 15.
