
Wednesday, February 28, 2024 — Last week, Slayer – Tom Araya, Kerry King, Gary Holt, and Paul Bostaph – announced that they plan to return to the concert stage for the first time since they concluded their Final World Tour in November 2019, to headline two summer festivals, Riot Fest and Louder Than Life. Today, the band announces they’ve added one last U.S. 2024 festival date, headlining the Aftershock Festival on October 10 at Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA.

Hell Awaits this September in Chicago! Continuing a long history of reuniting fan-favorite bands and artists, Riot Fest has just unveiled its first headliner for their 2024 flagship festival – a Midwest exclusive performance by metal stalwarts, SLAYER. While many more bands are still to be announced for the 3-day event slated for September 20-22, this reunion is sure to excite both longtime fans who will get the chance to revel once more, and newcomers who thought they’d never get the opportunity to witness the force that is Slayer.

With sold-out dates at amphitheaters across North America this summer, multi-platinum, GRAMMY® and American Music Award-winning rock band CREED have extended their 40+ “Summer of ‘99” tour with the “Are You Ready Tour?” due to overwhelming fan demand. Produced by Live Nation, the 20 additional arena dates will kick off this November in Oklahoma City at Paycom Center. Although Wicked – which is comprised of singer/guitarist Chad Michael, guitarist Scotty V, bassist Danny, and drummer Gunnar – will not be part of all the dates (which also includes sets by Vicious Rumors and Lutharo), they are confirmed for nine performances, with more to be announced in January. Long-running San Diego, California-based deathgrind summoners CATTLE DECAPITATION will kick off their Terrasitic Infestation North American headlining tour Friday November 10th in Ventura, California. The journey will make its way through over two-dozen cities, coming to a close on December 16th on the band’s home turf of San Diego, California.

New Orleans’ favorite extreme metal alchemists, GOATWHORE, will kick off their Fall headlining tour TONIGHT November 3rd in Little Rock, Arkansas. The tour will wind its way through 21 cities through the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest, drawing to a close on November 26th in Pensacola, Florida. Support will be provided by Withered and Spiter. The journey follows the band’s tour supporting Eyehategod, currently underway.
