In addition to their previously announced North American live takeover this March supporting progressive black metal technicians, Enslaved, long-running Portland doom monarchs, YOB, today reveal additional headlining stage rumblings. With various performances scattered prior to, throughout and following the Enslaved run, YOB will decimate ears in Sacramento, Boise, Columbus, Raleigh, Johnson City, Atlanta, Memphis, New Orleans, Houston, Austin, Albuquerque and Tucson. Support will be provided by noise rockers, Will Haven, doom wranglers, Witch Mountain and trance-inducing psych rock perpetrators, Ecstatic Vision (also on the Enslaved tour) on select dates.
One Man Army is the sixth studio album from Finnish folk metal forbearers, ENSIFERUM. Set to drop next month via Metal Blade Records, the predominantly analog-recorded offering was captured by award-winning producer Anssi Kippo (Children Of Bodom, Impaled Nazarene, Entwine etc.) at Astia-Studios in Lappeenranta, Finland and delivers eleven punishingly epic odes alongside a four-track bonus CD featuring the band’s rendition of Barathrum’s “Warmetal,” Iron Maiden’s “Wrathchild,” Uriah Heep’s “Lady In Black,” and Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law“.
Akron, Ohio’s MAID MYRIAD continues to book new live performances supporting their engaging debut LP, With Haste On Its Breath, with a new string of Northeastern US tour dates this Winter. Between the 6th and 22nd of February, the trio will bounce through Ohio, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maryland and West Virginia with six new gigs confirmed at press time, and additional tour dates being scheduled for the weeks following the newly announced run, including tour dates based around the band’s upcoming SXSW performances to be announced shortly and more.
New Orleans instrumental riff conjurors, MOUNTAIN OF WIZARD – who feature within their ranks members of EyeHateGod, Classhole and Mystick Krewe Of Clearlight – will kick off the new year with a short run of live rituals supporting amplification kings, High On Fire. Set to commence in Birmingham, MOUNTAIN OF WIZARD will levy their smoky, bottom-heavy jams upon the ears of West Columbia, Richmond, Brooklyn, Hartford, Portland, Poughkeepsie and Providence with additional shows to be announced in the weeks to come.
West Virginia instrumental stoner rock legends, KARMA TO BURN, will bring their bong-ripping riffery and glassy-eyed grooves to the stage on a mammoth live expedition.
