Swiss Black Metal Vortex BORGNE have inked a deal with Those Opposed Records for the release of new album Règne des Morts on September 28, just prior to the band’s appearance at the Black Arts Ceremony Fest in Lyon, France. The album features eight tracks (78 minutes) of crushing, industrial black metal that is superior in terms of songwriting and production to anything previously released.
Ethereal techn death unit, WRVTH, will kick off a western US tour next month supporting headlining labelmates, Lord Of War. Set to embark on September 11th in Sacramento, California, The Ongoing Dissension Tour will raze seventeen stages in five states, coming to a close on September 27th, 2015 in Lancaster, California.
The Swedish heavy/doom metal outfit NOCTUM have release two brand new songs online in North America, and as a 7″ in Europe. The 7″ features the title track “Until Then…Until The End” on Side A, and “In Precious Time” on Side B. The vinyl is limited to 500 copies total, 300 on black and 200 on white.

As previously announced, progressive Metal legends FATES WARNING will be releasing 3 CD/DVD expanded edition of their critically acclaimed 1997 release “A Pleasant Shade of Gray” October 2nd on Metal Blade Records. “A Pleasant Shade of Gray” is a single song that is divided into twelve tracks. The album is notable for its darker mood and mixture of progressive rock and metal with hints of industrial, classical, and psychedelia. Pre-orders for the album have been launched, along with a live cut from the DVD.
Greensboro, North Carolina-based IRATA has completed their latest recording, the band’s second full-length, dubbing it Sweet Loris. The album is currently being pressed to vinyl and will see release through Kylesa-founded record label, Retro Futurist, in early October. Additionally, the band will support Kylesa alongside Inter Arma and Indian Handcrafts on an Eastern US tour in conjunction with the album’s release.
Finnish funeral doom duo, TYRANNY — featuring within its ranks current and former members of Corpsessed and Wormphlegm among others — will unleash their first new studio offering in a decade this Fall via Dark Descent Records. Titled Aeons In Tectonic Interment, the record offers up five diseased psalms of slow, tortured, epically bowel-rupturing grimness.
