Slayer – bassist/vocalist Tom Araya, guitarist Kerry King, and returning drummer Paul Bostaph, along with touring guitarist Gary Holt and producer Terry Date – has completed recording what is one of the most highly-anticipated albums of 2015, Slayer’s 11th studio album and the band’s first new effort since 2011’s Grammy-nominated World Painted Blood. The currently untitled album is expected out later this year, and will be released on Slayer’s own as yet unnamed label (through Nuclear Blast).

Following a successful, near-month-long live US takeover last month, Denver doom titans, IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS, will open for the originators of The Riff, Sleep, this Sunday as a precursor to 4/20, the unofficial national day of cannabis celebration. The following weekend, the duo will crush the weak at the Bluebird Theater where they’ll premiere new hymn, “Rendered Unto Ash“, live for the very first time. Japanese extreme metal/noise icons, SIGH, will unveil their crushing tenth studio opus next month. Titled Graveward, the eclectic, ten-track offering took over two-and-a-half years to complete with each song comprising over one-hundred recording tracks exceeding 100GB of audio to select from in the final mixes. Inspired by musician/composer Fabio Frizzi, Graveward pays homage to Italian zombie and Hammer Horror classics.
Canadian hardcore punk metallers, CANCER BATS, who are currently on tour in Europe, are ecstatic to announce their inclusion on a string of North American dates with Danzig and Pennywise this July! The tour will commence July 11th in Pomona, California and run through fourteen cities, coming to a close on July 31st in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Anthemic multi-platinum rockers HINDER have unveiled their music video for ‘Hit The Ground’ with Yahoo! Music – the first single from the band’s upcoming fifth studio album, When the Smoke Clears, out May 12 via The End Records/ADA. The video for the track, which Billboard proclaims “…falls right into the band’s arena rock wheelhouse,” is also a debut for the band’s new frontman Marshal Dutton. The video was filmed at Chevy Bricktown Events Center in the band’s hometown of Oklahoma City, and features the guys doing what they do best – living and breathing life on the road.

The organizers of SHADOW WOODS METAL FEST hope to change that with their inaugural fest happening Sept 25th – 27th, 2015 in Fannettsburg, Pennsylvania in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.
