This November, Philip H. Anselmo’s Housecore Horror Fest will celebrate its third year of audio and visual bedlam. Set to commence in San Antonio, Texas at the Aztec Theater (201 E Commerce St.) on November 13th -15th, 2015, the horror-themed film and metal gala promises to be louder, gorier and more bludgeoning than ever before boasting two film-screening rooms, multiple vendors, special artist signings throughout the weekend and what’s morphing into one of the most debilitating lineups of the year!  

King Diamond will be back on tour soon for an extra special event for fans – one not to be missed! As part of the set, the band will be performing the classic 1987 album Abigail in its entirety! The tour will begin on October 29th and runs through December 5th with legendary bay area thrash metal band Exodus as the opening act! The full list of confirmed dates is below. So, is 2016 the year of “The Super-Hero” in regards to cinema? With six films slated, are we expanding the comic universe for better or for worse? First and foremost, lets differentiate the DC and Marvel realms into a pro and con faction. Then lets delve into the styles of each brand, to distinguish if each version is over-saturated or properly immersed with proper substance.  

THE GREEN RIVER BURIAL‘s Blight is out NOW on Vinyl 7″ and digital formats through Bastardized Recordings. The two-song release showcases the German band’s movement into darker, groovier territory. Virginia-based black metal trio, UNSACRED, is currently out on the road supporting Noisem on a sixteen-date run through the Southeast US, with three dates also including Homewrecker. Having already burned through Louisville, Nashville, Birmingham and Jackson, Tampa and Pensacola, the tour rages into Orlando tonight and then blazes straight up the East Coast before smoldering to a close in Baltimore on August 9th.  

NYC-area-based dark industrial unit, THEOLOGIAN, will deliver its next ominous output with the release of the A Means By Which To Break The Surface Of The Real LP in late August.  

Toronto, Ontario-based death metal horde, ABYSS, begins their West Coast Anatomization, the tour set to invade ten-cities over the next week-and-a-half. Kicking off in Vancouver, British Columbia, the quartet will then bulldoze south down the coastline, storming Olympia, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco, where the tour ends on August 8th.
