Candlelight Records, this year celebrating nine years of operations in North America, is enjoying its most successful early year sales launch with the recent release and Billboard chart entries with new albums from Ihsahn and Fear Factory.  

Marvel Comics has two words to say to Spider-Man’s alter ego Peter Parker — You’re Fired! Beginning in Amazing Spider-Man #623, on-sale March 3rd, everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood hero has to not only survive key arch nemesis Vulture’s reign of terror…but also losing his job at the Mayor’s office! Peter Parker lays it all on the line to protect J. Jonah Jameson and keep the city from ripping itself apart, but Peter’s sacrifice winds up costing his career as a photographer.  

British thrashers EVILE have released a digital-only single of the band’s cover of PANTERA’s “Cemetery Gates”. EVILE recorded “Cemetery Gates” in 2009 for a special Metal Hammer Dimebag tribute album.  Tragically, it was also the last song the band recorded with their late bassist, MIKE ALEXANDER.

A first visual image has been revealed for the upcoming New Avengers book in June. Luke Cage is the first to be revealled as a New Avenger. This will be one of the New Avenger teams coming from the aftermath of Dark Reign, currently on sale. The new Avengers #1 will be on sale in June and will feature the creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen.

KILL THE CLIENT formed in 2004 and has previously released two full-length albums in addition to split releases with AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED and THOUSANDSWILLDIE. The band has also appeared on For The Sick – A Tribute To Eyehategod and 2008’s This Comp Kills Fascists. CEO of New York based Wizard Entertainment, Gareb Shamus, announces his latest convention acquisition. Nashville’s Comic & Horror Festival is now Nashville Comic Con Wizard World Convention.  

Eulogy Recordings are very proud to announce the signing of New Jersey’s ENDER. Their debut album “This Is Revenge” was recently recorded at Treehouse Studios (Jersey City, NJ) and produced by Weston Kleinknecht. “This Is Revenge” will be released on Eulogy Recordings this spring. They are currently planning tours to support the album.  

Megadeth ax master and vocalist Dave Mustaine recently shed some feelings on the Megadeth website about getting back on the road, Dave Ellifson and the possible return of Nick Menza and Marty Friedman….  

Norma Jean is back in the studio this month to record their fifth studio album and debut for new record label, Razor & Tie. The currently untitled album will be released this summer, and is being recorded in Atlanta, GA at Glow in the Dark Studios with producer Jeremy Griffith.
