Canadian progressive sci-fi metal innovators VOIVOD release a new 3-track 12” Vinyl and Digital EP entitled “The End Of Dormancy” today worldwide via Century Media Records.  

Finland’s death lords LANTERN have launched the full-album stream for their newest release, Dimensions. The band’s third album and follow-up to 2017’s II: Morphosis sees Lantern continuing on their unique path blending eerie melodies with and top notch riffs topped off by the one-of-a-kind vocals of Necrophilos. Dimensions is destined to be one of 2020’s finest efforts.  

The Belgian death metal stalwarts of CARNATION will be releasing their second full-length, ‘Where Death Lies,’ on September 18 via Season of Mist! The album art and tracklist can be found below. On September 25th, The Ocean will release their 8th full-length, Phanerozoic II: Mesozoic | Cenozoic, via Metal Blade Records (CD / digital) and the band’s own Pelagic Records (vinyl). In 2018, The Ocean released Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic – the first half of a sprawling but superbly cohesive paleontology concept album. Now, the group is ready to release the eagerly-awaited concluding parts of the Phanerozoic journey.  

Top-charting dark groove metal originators DEVILDRIVER recently announced the highly-anticipated release of their upcoming double album, Dealing With Demons. The first volume – entitled Dealing With Demons I – drops on October 9, 2020 via Napalm Records and marks the band’s first release of new, original material since 2016’s acclaimed Trust No One. Representing the onset of a final purging of the themes that have long possessed frontman Dez Fafara and DEVILDRIVER’s music, each track on Dealing With Demons I illustrates a different demon to be dealt with, or released.
