NYC/New Jersey metal collective TOMBS and Atlanta blackened heavy metal outfit CLOAK will be embarking on a run of co-headlining live shows throughout the East Coast this spring, in which they will be supported by RESTLESS SPIRIT! The trek will kick off on April 5 in Providence, RI and will conclude in CLOAK’s hometown of Atlanta, GA on April 10. Marking its 40th anniversary this year, METAL BLADE RECORDS is proud to present its debut release, Metal Massacre Volume One, for the first time since 1984 on limited-edition vinyl. Originally released on June 14, 1982, Metal Massacre showcased the best of Los Angeles’ unsigned acts of the time such as METALLICA, RATT and MALICE, and has since become a cornerstone of METAL BLADE RECORDS. The next page in Washington, D.C.’s Day of Departure’s sci-fi story that is presented in their upcoming self-titled debut sees civilization being eliminated. “Ex Machina” is the fifth track on the album, and just as the first portion of the record involves the chaos and destruction of our civilization, this song transitions the listener into the realization that there is a new path forward both musically and with the fate of civilization.
