The Spudmonsters – Stand Up For What You Believe is the next chapter in the history books for one of Cleveland Ohio’s most influential underground bands. Signing to a new east coast hardcore imprint Fast Break! Records, The Spuds pick up right where they left off with 1997’s “Moment Of Truth” featured on Century Media.  

Listenable Records has set August 30th as the North American release date for Amsterdam, Hellsinki, the debut album from American/Dutch/Finnish thrashers Tornado. Recorded over the span of ten days at Abyss Studios with Hypocrisy/Pain mainman Peter Tagtgren Amsterdam, Hellsinki is 12 tracks of fist pumpin, booty shakin sleezy thrash for a new generation of Pimps and Hos.  

Hollywood Undead will perform live at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in New York on Wednesday, July 27 as part of iHeartRadio Live, a Clear Channel entertainment production that features private performances and interviews with today’s top recording artists. The band will play songs from their popular new album American Tragedy along with other hits.  

Djent magicians/prog mathematicians DEADFALL turns the budding genre on its collective ear with their DIY EP New Light. Written, recorded and produced by recent Berklee grad Eddie Kim (guitars and drum programming) and Sean Dusoe (bass), New Light is an intelligently-written and forward-thinking instrumental release that combines concrete groove, hypnotic melodies and emotive clean passages to fill any voids one might assume would be left in the absence of a screamer.  

Iconic rock front man, Michael Monroe, will release his new cd Sensory Overdrive in the U.S and Canada on August 23rd  on Spinefarm/ Universal.  The new cd from the former front man of the influential band Hanoi Rocks was produced by legendary producer Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, John Lennon, Cheap Trick).    

Swedish tech-death destroyers Volturyon have been confirmed to take part in the Eastern Death Infernal Tour 2011 with Demonical. The tour will run from October 26th to November 12th, focusing mainly on Baltic and Eastern European territories. Shows in Warsaw, Budapest, Bucharest and Berlin have been booked with the rest of the dates to be confirmed soon. Additional support will come from Hungary’s Slytract.  

Winnipeg-based bruisers Annex Theory are gearing up for a ten-date assault that will see the band storm across the Canadian countryside with  progressive death metallers Laika in support of their recently-released digital EP Beneath The Skin. When asked about the upcoming outing, guitarist/vocalist Sam Jacobs had the following to say.   

FDA Rekotz is set to release Desechos Humanos from Death-Grind surgeons GOREGAST on September 9, 2011. The third album from these German maniacs is a direct attack against humanity’s rotten core.  Expect a brutal mixture of old school styled Death Metal and bone-crushing Grindcore.  

KITTIE have revealed the first of many behind the scenes clips of the band hard at work on their upcoming record, due out August 30th.  

  Music Theories, a division of the Mascot Label Group, has announced a September 27 release date for Derek Sherinian’s Oceana.  Recognized by many as the premiere rock keyboardist of his generation, Sherinian has performed for millions via the vehicles of Black Country Communion (of which he is a current member alongside Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham, Joe Bonamassa), Dream Theater, Alice Cooper, Buddy Miles, and as an off-stage performer accompanying KISS.   

Soldiers of Death/Thrashing chaos Entrenched have inked a deal with Horror Pain Gore Death Productions who will release their debut album Preemptive Strike on CD format August 30th. Below is the official description:
