Metal Mind Productions presents the exclusive re-issue of the third studio album by Crack Up – “Heads Will Roll”. This German band represents the rare genre of death’n’roll – a fascinating combination of death metal brutality with the melodic rock’n’roll approach. Over the years, the band managed to release four full-length albums, with each making a huge step in their musical evolution. “Heads Will Roll” is considered as their strongest effort, bringing out the best of Crack Up’s significant style….  

Anathema will return in April with Weather Systems, their brand new studio album. Weather Systems is the follow-up to 2010’s We’re Here Because We’re Here, which has been featured prominently in numerous end-of-year polls and the producer, Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), has described it as ”definitely among the best albums I’ve ever had the pleasure to work on.”  

Elias Soriano, lead vocalist of the band Nonpoint spoke to metalmachine.net last August in NYC. Metalmachine.net and the band go way back, to the MCA days. Elias spoke about some future projects that were coming up. Now this interview of course was before the band signed with Razor & Tie and members Zach Broderick and founding bassist Ken MacMillan left the band.  

Word on the street is that the famed rock club CBGB’s will be making a return to NYC. The clubs name rights and memorabilia have been purchased by a group that will be making an official announcement soon. The rights were purchased from Lisa Kristal, daughter of famed owner Hilly Kristal.

Portland, Oregon punk metal miscreants TOXIC HOLOCAUST are pleased to announce an additional run of dates with New York street punks The Casualties. The tour will serve as an extension to an already bludgeoning stretch of shows alongside English Dogs, The Casualties and Havok, set to commence on February 10 in Baltimore.  

KING GIANT’s new LP, Dismal Hollow, is officially available today, now available for purchase worldwide via deluxe digital download, on digipak CD and on 180-gram gatefold LP, the latter available in swamp green with bone swirl, and bone with gold haze color schemes.  

Arizona rockers Man Made Machine are hitting the road with Pop Evil as support. The tour will kick off on February 17th in Muncie, IN and will make stops throughout the Midwest and Southern United States before concluding in Broussard, LA on March 3rd (tour dates below). Their debut album, Become, is available in stores and via all digital service providers. The album was produced by Chad Grey and Greg Tribbett of Mudvayne and HELLYEAH and was mixed by Jeremy Parker (Godsmack/Evanescence).  

By Todd Matthy Gigantour did not live up to its name. Before I continue none of it was the fault of the bands or their members. It was the sound and the timing. Sound was off, you couldn’t hear the singers (especially during Megadeth), and performances were too short (like Motorhead’s). There were times when distortion was stronger then the musicians. But we’ll talk about that later for now let’s talk about the bands.  

This weekend, Portland, Oregon-based crust punk icons FROM ASHES RISE entered the studio to lay down two vicious new anthems for Southern Lord Recordings. The crushing recording session marks the first time the band recorded in nine years! Recorded at Audible Alchemy, engineered by Bryan Sours and Steve Lobdell, and mixed at Audiosiege by Sours and the band’s own Brad Boatright, the two tracks — “Rejoice The End” and “Rage of Sanity” — are being finalized for a rabid new 7″ set to be let off the chain via Southern Lord in April or May. A final release date, cover art and more will be be locked down in the coming weeks.
