P.O.D. has completed work on Murdered Love, its first new studio album in four years. Due out this summer, Murdered Love is the band’s long-awaited follow-up to When Angels & Serpents Dance. Murdered Love sees the band reunited with long-time producer Howard Benson who also produced the band’s massive Satellite album alongside hit albums for Kelly Clarkson, Theory Of A Deadman, Daughtry, The All American Rejects, and My Chemical Romance.
Candlelight Records today confirms June 19 as the North American release date for Eremita, the anticipated fourth album from Norwegian-born vocalist/guitarist IHSAHN. Recorded and produced at Telemark’s Ivory Shoulder Studios, with additional tracking completed at Notodden’s Juke Joint Studio and Seattle’s Envisage Audio, Eremita was mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth) at Fascination Street Studios in Orebo, Sweden. Grammy-nominated metal band Shadows Fall has completed work on its seventh studio album, Fire From The Sky. The new album is confirmed for release in-stores and online, May 15th. Recorded at Zing Studios in late 2011, Fire From The Sky reunites Shadows Fall with long-time friend, producer/engineer and Killswitch Engage/Times Of Grace guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz (Devil Wears Prada, All That Remains). The album was mixed by Brian Virtue and features some of the band’s most complex and melodic material in years.
FEAR FACTORY today reveals cover and package details for their forthcoming new album, The Industrialist. Set for North American release on June 5, The Industrialist is a conceptual record based around a story written by vocalist Burton C. Bell. Lyrics to the album’s ten songs divulge the narrative as discussed recently by Bell with Decibel Magazine. The album’s artwork was created by American designer Anthony Clarkson with additional direction from the band. The album will be available on three formats – standard CD, a limited edition deluxe digi-book (featuring two additional songs), and 180-gram double vinyl.
West Coast road warriors EXHUMED will embark on a near three-week stretch of tour dates this May alongside labelmates Fuck the Facts and headliners The Back Dahlia Murder. Dubbed The Canadian Ritual Tour, the goretorn ceremonies will begin on May 11 in Madison, Wisconsin and include two weeks of Canadian dates before drawing to a gory close in June 2 in Detroit, Michigan.
