Maryland rockers CLUTCH have finalized their tour plans through March of 2014. The next leg of the “Earth Rocker” World Tour kicks off October 25th in Hampton Beach, NH, immediately followed by a festival appearance in Virginia Beach, VA at “Localpalooza”. Following a short break in November, the band will hit the road for their annual holiday shows and continue on tour through January. The band has confirmed five new dates starting 1/13/14 in Northampton, MA through 1/18/14 in Huntington, WV. Tickets for these shows go on sales this Friday

Southern California Gorship outfit IMPENDING DOOM have announced an all new LP called “Death Will Reign” due out November 5, 2013 via eOne Music. Recorded, Produced and Mixed by Will Putney at the Machine Shop, this is the band’s most ferocious material to date. “Impending Doom have never sounded uglier and more desperate than on ‘Death Will Reign,’ says Alternative Press.
Spanish Black Metal newcomers SVIPDAGR have inked a deal with Xtreem Music for the release of their debut album “Black Verses” for its imminent release next month of October. Originally formed in early 2013 by Volundr (guitar/bass) and Funedëim (guitar/vocals), they were later joined by Thanatos (drums) from the band CAULDRON. The three members hails from three different cities of Spain, but this wasn’t an obstacle for them to create their personal vision of Black Metal in its most raw, classic and genuine style.
Controversial filmmaker and social activist Peter Joseph, made world famous by his counter-culture/social revolution film series under the banner title of “Zeitgeist”, meaning the “general intellectual, moral and cultural climate of an era”, was tapped by Black Sabbath to direct the nearly 9 min. epic, first single release of the group since their original formation disbanded in 1978 with the leaving of Ozzy Osborne. The new album is titled “13”. What was deemed more of a “short-film” than a music video, the work had its World Premiere screening at the band’s June 6th album release in Hollywood’s Harmony Gold Preview Center. There’s a lot of talk out there these days, and really in recent years, about Hollywood being “out of ideas.” This is one reason that many of the biggest and most successful films of recent years have been re-makes and sequels, and massive franchises like Marvel movies based on old comics, etc. As a consequence of the seeming lack of new ideas, many are turning to other forms of casual entertainment.
Cannibal Corpse will be wrapping up their 25th anniversary celebrations for 2013 with a pair of shows in Florida, which has served as the band’s base of operations since relocating to Tampa from Buffalo, NY in 1994. The shows are scheduled for November 29th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at the Culture Room and November 30th in Tampa, FL at the Brass Mug. SEVENDUST’s touring schedule isn’t close to ending anytime soon. In addition to their own slew of headlining dates, the Atlanta band has announced that they’ll be a part of the “From Death To Destiny Tour” along with Asking Alexandria, All That Remains, Emmure and For Today, which kicks off October 26 in Lubbock, TX at the Lonestar Amphitheatre (as part of “FMX Freak Fest”).
