REVOCATION have spent the last eight years converting fans to their cause with four full length albums, an EP with Scion AV, and a charismatic live show led by guitarist/vocalist Dave Davidson. The Boston-based band also features the staggeringly talented lineup of: Dan Gargiulo on guitar, Brett Bamberger on bass, and Phil Dubois on drums. REVOCATION has firmly been established as one of the genre’s finest and will continue their campaign as part of the Metal Blade Records roster. Their fifth album, Deathless, is a fitting debut for the label, and a definitive statement of intent from the band.  

Technical blackened death metal trio SOLACE OF REQUIEM has announced a partnership with various charities that help promote arts, education, music and free-thought to children in need. The band will donate 10% of all online clothing sales to one of the following – The Dreaming Zebra Foundation, Camp Quest or the International Child Art Foundation.  

Melodic hardcore kings HEART IN HAND have revealed that their brand new album, entitled A Beautiful White, will be released on November 3rd in Europe and on November 4th in North America (digital only) via SOAR/Century Media Records.  

The final recordings from defunct Bay Area brutal crossover act CRUCIFIED dubbed the Dead Of Sleep 7″, is out now via Get This Right Records.  

On their recent Southwest US trek, Tucson-based sludge metal bandits GODHUNTER and Oakland’s cinematic doom outfit SECRETS OF THE SKY were selling a limited-to-100 copies, tour-only, cassette-edition of a new split release between both acts. On this combined effort, entitled GH/0ST:S, both bands supply brand new material, showcasing even further experimentation into each of their respective crafts, with forty minutes of material, including a crushing new opus from each band, as well as a haunting, thematic accompaniment bearing the ghosts theme.  

This week, Gascony, France-based THE INSPECTOR CLUZO will embark on the final handful of shows in their massive Gasconha Rocks World Summer Tour 2014, the ongoing trek taking the drum and guitar duo through twelve countries on three continents this Summer season.  

King Diamond would like to welcome Jess and the Ancient Ones as the opening act for the North American tour this fall. The occult rock group from Kuopio, Finland, was personally selected by King Diamond himself to be the openers on the tour.  

Legendary Punk / Funk / Rock band SNOT has announced that they will be reuniting once again for a full U.S tour in which they will be performing their classic “Get Some” album in it’s entirety. He Is Legend, Thira, and Lydia Can’t Breathe will offer support. The tour kicks off on November 28th in Palm Desert, California and wraps up on December 23rd in Pomona, California. Recently, I have been on a non-traditional metal kick, and have seen some amazing bands. One such forerunner is All Them Witches, an american band out of Nashville Tennessee, who list themselves as Psychedelta Blues, and which could also be described as non-trad Doom with Ozark Mountain Blues threaded in. The band itself is a four piece, who use guitar, bass, drum, and occasional piano/organ to create an amazingly complex sound that is just filled with emotion and depth. The album I started with was the debut, Our Mother Electricity, which is almost perfect. Almost, only because its not just slightly heavier, but it gets any job done. Long-running black metal veterans VARATHRON will release a brand new album entitled “Untrodden Corridors of Hades” on the 21st of November in Europe and 9th of December in rest of the world. The cover of their first full-length since 2009’s “Stygian Forces of Scorn” has been created by Mark Riddick (Arsis, Absu, Mystifier, Nun Slaughter, The Black Dahlia Murder)  

Norway’s Mysticum will release its long awaited second album Planet Satan on October 27 via Peaceville. A band that achieved almost mythical status in black metal lore, Planet Satan follows Mysticum’s debut release, 1996’s In the Streams of Inferno, and unifies the core trio of Herr General Cerastes, Svartravn and DrBest.
