Philadelphia Black Metallers I AM THE TRIREME have released Gnosis: Never Follow the Light today on Horror Pain Gore Death Productions.  

Philadelphia’s hypergrind violators, DIE CHOKING, will release their debut full-length LP, III, through The Compound Recs late this Summer, as the band begins their most rigorous tour schedule to date in the coming weeks.  

The Swedish heavy/doom metal outfit NOCTUM has recorded two brand new songs for a 7″ release! The 7″ features the title track “Until Then…Until The End” on Side A and “In Precious Time” on Side B and is set for release the 7th of August in a limited run of 500 copies (300 x black/200 x white)!  

Next week, Philadelphia-based underground music, arts and activism webzine, Blow The Scene, will host its annual benefit show for PAWS — the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society — with a wide array of artists set to perform and a wealth of other activities confirmed.  

My Dying Bride’s latest opus and 12th full studio album, Feel the Misery, is set for release on September 18 on Peaceville Records. With crushing epic doom spanning eight tracks, and featuring the return of original guitarist Calvin Robertshaw to the fold, this is undoubtedly amongst the band’s heaviest, darkest and most majestic works to date, marking My Dying Bride’s 25th anniversary in punishing style, with the title track also set to feature as the album’s debut video.  

Soaked In Bleach, a docudrama by Benjamin Statler, reveals the events behind Kurt Cobain’s death as seen through the eyes of Tom Grant, the private investigator that was hired by Courtney Love in 1994 to track down her missing husband (Kurt Cobain) only days before his deceased body was found at their Seattle home. Cobain’s death was ruled a suicide by the police (a reported self-inflicted gunshot wound), but doubts have circulated for twenty years as to the legitimacy of this ruling, especially due to the work of Mr. Grant, a former L.A. County Sheriff’s detective, who did his own investigation and determined there was significant empirical and circumstantial evidence to conclude that foul play could...

Twitching Tongues recently flew across the Atlantic to perform a string of dates across Europe with fellow SoCal hardcore act, Disgrace. The tour included a June 19th performance at the tenth anniversary edition of Hellfest in Clisson, France. The band’s set list included the title track from the band’s forthcoming album, “Disharmony“, and an official live performance of that song can be seen now on the Metal Blade Records youtube channel!  

Columbia, South Carolina’s antagonistic punks, BURNT BOOKS, begin a new tour in just over a week, which sees the band traveling to tour the West Coast for the first time.
