After weeks of auditions, reactivated southern doom bringers, SERPENTS OF SECRECY – featuring ex-Sixty Watt Shaman members, bassist Rev. Jim Forrester (Foghound), drummer Chuck Dukehart III (Foghound), and guitarist Todd Ingram (King Giant) — are very pleased to welcome current Gypsy Chief Goliaths/former Mighty Nimbus frontman, Al Yeti Bones, to the mic.  

Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum hard rock innovators KORN are topping off their 20th anniversary celebrations with something special for their fans. Today (July 21), the band has announced they will head out on the road for one last turn in 2015 to perform their debut album KORN in its entirety. A limited amount of tickets and early entry packages will go up on KORN.com tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22 at 10 am local time. Titled Ruins, the eight-track face-breaker was recorded by Chris Donaldson at The Grid Studios (Cryptopsy, Despised Icon, Neuraxis etc.) and is a sincere and violent exercise in spine-shattering brutality; relentlessly fast, precise and rabid with enough brutalic grooves to windmill your way into oblivion.  

Death-saluting metal collective, GRUESOME, will take to the streets next month on a short run of live performances. Following an appearance at Obscene Extreme America Fest in Montreal next month, the band — which features guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey (Exhumed), drummer Gus Rios (Malevolent Creation), guitarist Daniel Gonzalez (Possessed), and bassist Robin Mazen (Derketa) — will kick off a mini tour in September, waging their classic Schuldiner-styled odes upon the ears of Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Cave-In-Rock, San Diego and Los Angeles. West Coast psychedelic thrash collective, VHÖL, which features vocalist Mike Scheidt (YOB), guitarist John Cobbett (Hammers Of Misfortune, ex-Ludicra), bassist Sigrid Sheie (Hammers Of Misfortune, ex-Amber Asylum) and drummer Aesop Dekker (Agalloch, Worm Ouroboros, ex-Ludicra) — will unleash its sophomore full-length this Fall via Profound Lore.  

Following its initial 12″ vinyl and Bandcamp release in May, Through Light To Night, the debut LP by Swedish solo outfit BROKEN CROSS, is also now available on a wide variety of digital platforms, with a cassette version pending release in the coming days.

HE BUNNY THE BEAR have partnered with Substream to premiere their sixth album, A Liar Wrote This.  The album pushes the band’s previously experimental post-hardcore sound into all sorts of new areas, and you can thank new vocalist Haley Roback for this development – she’s the first-ever female “Bear” to be in the band.  

The Bastard Child of New York City, KORE ROZZIK, will perform at NYC’s prestigious Gramercy Theatre on July 21 the BULLET BOYS. The show will also mark the official release of KORE ROZZIK‘s debut single “Rock Star“, which is now streaming at this location.  

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will return to North America this fall to headline the IndieMerch Tour with Iron Reagan, Harm’s Way, and Maruta. The trek will start Oct 3rd and run through Oct 30th and it marks the group’s first official Canadian/US tour supporting their highly anticipated new album, Abysmal, which comes out on September 18th on Metal Blade Records.
