Currently on the road as part of the annual Warped Tour, Whitechapel has announced another USA trek – this time, co-headlining with Suicide Silence! AUDIOTOPSY, the powerhouse foursome featuring guitarist Greg Tribbett (Mudvayne, Hell Yeah), drummer Matt McDonough (Mudvayne), vocalist Billy Keeton (Skrape) and bassist Perry Stern will be returning to the road this summer in support of their debut album Natural Causes that was released last year via Napalm Records.  The first dates announced begin August 5th in Sanford, FL and run through August 13th in San Leon, TX.  Additional tour dates will be announced shortly.

Relapse Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of hardcore legends INTEGRITY. Originally formed in 1988, INTEGRITY are known for being one of the most incendiary and influential bands in American hardcore and modern metal history and have released 11 full-length albums and a litany of splits / EPs including a recent split with Power Trip. INTEGRITY are set to record their new full-length album later this year which will be released by Relapse in 2017. Frontman Dwid Hellion commented on the new material and signing:

CENTINEX originated in 1990 as a riff-oriented part of the classic Swedish death metal movement and disbanded in 2005 after releasing eighth full-length albums. In 2014 they surprisingly resurfaced with a refreshed line-up of Martin Schulman (Demonical) on bass, Sverker Widgren (Demonical, Diabolical) on guitars, Alexander Högbom (October Tide, Spasmodic) on vocals and Kennet Englund (Interment, Centinex 1999-2003) on drums. Year 2014 also saw the release of their come-back record, “Redeeming Filth”.

2016, please slow down, because I don’t know how to keep up with all of these amazing releases this year. Right from the get-go, this year has been giving us at least one great album every month and it doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. Now that it’s July, the halfway point is here and we’re at a point where there’s just so much great music to reflect upon going forward.  

Gemini Syndrome have announced that they will release their new album, Memento Mori, on August 19th via Another Century. The alternative Hard Rock outfit will continue to push the envelope both musically and thematically on the upcoming record, which is the follow up to their 2013 debut Lux. Memento Mori, which was produced by the legendary father/son duo of Kane and Kevin Churko, is a direct successor to Lux in a three part trilogy; with the latter being a representation of birth, and the former acting a reminder of life. The 7th annual GWAR B-Q  will be held on August 20th in beautiful Richmond, VA at historic Hadad’s Lake. GWAR will of course be performing a set full of murder and mayhem along with the already stacked lineup which includes Lamb of God, Against Me!, American Nightmare, Eyehategod, and Lagwagon.  

Pioneers of Irish punk rock, The Mahones, have announced plans to release a greatest hits compilation called The Very Best: 25 Years Of Irish Punk on August 26th with Sailor’s Grave Records. The album will feature newly, re-recorded versions of the band’s most popular songs spanning their celebrated 25+ year career. Today, the band has partnered with PunkNews.org to unveil their updated version of their classic Irish punk anthem “A Great Night On The Lash.”
