2016 marks the monumental return of one of heavy rock’s most unique, revered and fearless bands of the last three decades, OPETH. Over the years, the experimental, prog veterans have continuously reinvented themselves, pushing the boundaries of their craft and expectations of fans and critics alike. Today, OPETH announces their 12th album, Sorceress, will be released on September 30th and have unveiled the artwork and track list for their imminent masterpiece.
TRIBULATION’s 2009 debut album, The Horror, will be re-released on vinyl on August 19th via Century Media Records. This new version will come with gatefold cover (printed on inside out cardboard), A2 poster, LP size booklet (similar to the 7″ size booklet of the original version) and 180 g vinyl. In addition to the black vinyl version, there will be an assorted selection of vinyl colors available:
MassConcerts is pleased to announce the first of many celebrity guests and musical acts for the biggest yearly horror and music convention in New England. On October 14th through 16th, Rock and Shock will celebrate their 13th year bringing the best in horror and music to Worcester, MA. The convention features celebrity guests, killer bands, incredible vendors and plenty to do inside the convention. Celebrity guests will appear all three days of the convention unless otherwise noted.
There comes a point every year where an album is released and instantly the metal community (somehow) all agrees that it is, in fact, good. Normally, come December, this album gets thrown onto everyone’s Best Of lists, and we see websites and magazines give the band awards for such a crowning achievement. As such, this year it is Inter Arma who are falling into that category with Paradise Gallows, and immediately it’s realizable that this album is going to be a wild ride from start to finish, both critically and musically.
Relapse Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of hardcore legends INTEGRITY. Originally formed in 1988, INTEGRITY are known for being one of the most incendiary and influential bands in American hardcore and modern metal history and have released 11 full-length albums and a litany of splits / EPs including a recent split with Power Trip. INTEGRITY are set to record their new full-length album later this year which will be released by Relapse in 2017. Frontman Dwid Hellion commented on the new material and signing:
The mighty TRUCKFIGHTERS’ own label, Fuzzorama Records, and Century Media Records team up to floor the gas and fuzz pedal. The Örebro, Sweden based band was formed in 2001 by Oskar “Ozo” Cedermalm (vocals & bass) and Niklas “Dango” Källgren (guitar). Since that time, they have released four studio albums and several more releases through their own label Fuzzorama Records – including the 2011 DVD documentary (Fuzzomentary) featuring guests such as Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) and more friends from bands Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Witchcraft, Graveyard and more.
