– Film Movement, the New York-based distributor of arthouse and independent films, is pleased to announce the home video release of Geoffrey Murphy’s New Zealand sci-fi cult classic THE QUIET EARTH (1985, 91 minutes), which will be available for the first time on Blu-ray, as well as DVD, in the U.S. on December 6th.

Roddenberry Entertainment has partnered with Sleeping Giant Films to develop Roddenberry’s critically acclaimed graphic novel WORTH into a feature film. Writer David Mahmoudieh (Rain, Boone), has been hired to adapt the project, which will be produced by Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth for Roddenberry Entertainment and David A. Stern (The Last Tycoon, Rosemary’s Baby) and D. Matt Geller (Remember, Four In The Morning) for Sleeping Giant Films. Scott Paskoff will serve as co-producer.
With the current state of Superhero movies coming from Warner Bros and there attempt to build a cohesive Universe a struggle, the studio is in dire need of some stability to proceed with their ambitious schedule of DC Entertainment films through the year 2020.
