Cassian Andor and his reprogrammed Imperial security droid K-2SO have a partnership that rivals the closeness of Luke Skywalker and R2-D2. But like all great stories, that wasn’t always the case. So how did the great partnership of human and droid come to be? This August, find out the real history between the two characters when Marvel releases STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE – CASSIAN & K-2SO SPECIAL #1, written by acclaimed author Duane Swierczynski (Cable, Punisher: Frank Castle) with art by Fernando Blanco (Marvel Zombies, Thunderbolts).

The Alien franchise is a mixed bag, no doubt. While the first two are universally agreed upon as masterworks in horror, sci-fi, and action genres, two of the films are also considered disposable garbage by many sources and a supposed prequel, Prometheus, seems to be divisive and a flawed work of art. To say being an Alien fan is scary business, because unlike in space, everyone can hear you scream in frustration with this franchise. Alien: Covenant was a long time coming, and while there has been some hype for it, knowing that only two of the five canon films are undeniable classics is enough to know that this could go both ways.

he Jedi have always been the galaxy’s peacekeepers…but with the Clone Wars on the horizon, all that is about to change. Veteran actor Michael Parks has reportedly passed away at the age of 77.

Sadly, while we’ll never see Guillermo del Toro’s proposed final Hellboy film, that doesn’t mean Hellboy is an untouchable property.

It’s no secret that we enjoy Marvel’s Netflix series. While their films are in their own right great, the Netflix series (For me, at least) captures what I love most about the concept of superheroes. Since the initial announcement of the Marvel-Netflix deal, every season released has been building up to The Defenders, in which the Netflix heroes team up and fight a threat bigger than any of them individually. Finally, it seems we’re getting close.

The Force Awakens, Rogue One, and the forthcoming The Last Jedi have all broken tradition for the Star Wars franchise, in which all live-action films had previously been released in May of their releases. However, based on the returns of the former two films, December has worked extremely well for the juggernaut of a franchise, with Star Wars moving beyond its traditional Memorial Day release period. Lucasfilm seems to be doing a course correction in teh coming months.
