In less than two weeks, after a year-and-a-half hiatus, Portland, Maine’s blackened rock’n’roll outfit, ZUD, will return to the stage, headlining day two of the first Shadow Woods Metal Festival on September 26th – the new mid-Atlantic, open-air, camping-based metal fest — in White Hall Maryland, just north of Baltimore. With the likes of Midnight, Occultation, Wormreich, Dreadlords and Sangharsha, and over two-dozen others at the two-day event, Shadow Woods can be expected to be a game changer in festivals held on the East Coast.  

Following their recent North American expedition supporting Superjoint and King Parrot on the successful It Takes Guts tour 2015, and the following Eastbound N’ Down tour with Down, Detroit’s favorite punk/metal/noise rock eccentrics, CHILD BITE, take to the streets again for a twenty-three date tour supporting KEN mode.

In addition to their previously announced dates as direct support on Danzig’s annual Blackest Of The Black Tour this Fall, reanimated metal legion, SUPERJOINT, confirms five additional headlining shows in Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Virginia and California. Durham, North Carolina-based WAILIN STORMS has announced a wave of Eastern US tour dates in advance of their impending debut LP, which will see Fall release via Magic Bullet Records.

Swedish death metal unit, AEON, will begin their march through North America this evening on the Devastation On The Nation Tour featuring headliners Origin and Krisiun. Set to embark in Crest Hill, Illinois, the Metal Injection-sponsored live takeover will decimate nearly three-dozen venues through October 5th. Additional support will be provided by Alterbeast, Soreption and Ingested.  

Texas-based DEAD TO A DYING WORLD has completed their immense sophomore album, Litany, and plans to release the record this October alongside a Western US tour. In advance of its release, DEAD TO A DYING WORLD exclusively premiered “Beneath The Loam” as the first single from the record to be made publicly available.  

Battleground Records has hammered out a deal with Los Angeles area-based black/death metal quartet, DECEIVE, for the release of the band’s forthcoming debut album. The band is currently writing and demoing material for the record, with plans of entering the studio to record later this year and releasing the LP in 2016.
