Per the website Deadline, reports are leaking that Warner Bros. has brought in Ta-Nehisi Coates and J.J. Abrams to Re boot The MAN OF STEEL!

Per the report…the movie will be produced under J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot brand with Hannah Minghella, with Ta-Nehisi Coates writing the script.

Mr. Coates, exploded on the sceen as the national correspondent for The Atlantic. Mr. Coates covered cultural, social and political issues, specifically that of African Americans and white supremacy. He has also written forseveral other major publications…The Village Voice, TIME, New York Times Magazine, Washington Post and more. He has also written several books, including The Beautiful Struggle and Between the World and Me. Mr. Coates recently had jumped into the comic book arena starting with Marvel Comics and writing the latest version of Black Panther. ALso, he was handling writing duties on the latest Captain America title.

Where this leaves Henry Cavill, his involvement and future participation as SUPERMAN is up in the air? It is no secret Mr. Cavill has expressed his admiration of Kal El and his alter ego, Clark Kent, as he recently stated in a VANITY FAIR piece.

Back in 2020, word spread that Michael B. Jordan had pitched a story arc for a rebooted SUPERMAN movie when W.B> was shaking up the DCU, after the Justice League debacle. Who dons the cape will now be the talk of comicdom.
