Warner Bros. has announced they are going the reboot the Superman franchise. With author and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates writing and J.J Abrams’ Bad Robot label producing, there is still no word of a director attached to the project. Deadline reports that the project is a “reboot” of the Superman “Man of Steel” film. It is unclear if Henry Cavill will return as Supes again.

Coates is responsible for a couple of Marvel Comics series ranging from Captain America to Black Panther.

There are rumors going around that Michael B. Jordan might be up for wearing the cape and tights. IGN reported that Michael B. Jordan was being considered to play Superman when Henry Cavill was considering leaving the franchise, but as to Jordan’s status of being looked at in seriousness currently? That’s all hearsay.
