Yesterday at New York Comic-Con, the joint-announcement from Marvel and Netflix confirmed that the release for the upcoming Marvel series based on The Punisher had been pulled from the Con in the wake of the Las Vegas shooting this week. The removal of the panel, however, wasn’t the end of it.

Going further, the release date of The Punisher, which is still unknown, has been postponed until a later date this fall. The release was meant to be a surprise, however it seems fans will have to wait longer now for whenever Netflix chooses to make the series available for streaming.

Fans may have to wait longer for Frank Castle’s series, but his performance as The Punisher is already well respected for his appearances during season 2 of Daredevil. Greatness awaits, but it seems it will have to wait just a bit longer.
