» Blog Archive Morbid Angel Return With Kingdoms Disdained, New Single -
Evan Conway News

Morbid AngelCall it a comeback? Depending on who you ask, it’s the first proper Morbid Angel release in 14 years. Coming six years after the much maligned Illud Divinum Insanus, Morbid Angel are back with a new line-up and are ready to remind everyone what it means to be kings of death metal.

Kingdoms Disdained will be the band’s ninth studio album, and with Steve Tucker rejoining the band, lead guitarist Trey Azagthoth promises it will take cues from the era of Morbid Angel where he took part in. I’d say to expect unconventional death metal, but you can experience the single they’ve put forth  right below. “Piles of Little Arms” is as brutal as it is disturbing in its title, so rejoice knowing Morbid Angel are back at it again.

You can hear Kingdoms Disdained in full when Morbid Angel releases it on December 1st.
