The Big Kahuna Hard Music, News, Tours

As the October 21 release of KORN’s 12th studio album THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING draws near, the multi-platinum two-time Grammy-winning rock band has made available a third song from the album, “A Different World.” The new track–featuring Corey Taylor of Slipknot–can now be heard

Look for its accompanying video to be unveiled Wednesday, October 5.

Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Mastodon), the album is highlighted by a return to a dual-guitar dynamic and some of front man Jonathan Davis’ most inspired moments of self-reflection and expression. THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING finds KORN harnessing all the anger, power and trademark balance of darkness and light that made their name all those years ago. The album’s first single “Rotting In Vain” has been streamed over two million times and is now Top 5 at Rock Radio. The single’s macabre video–which has almost seven million views–stars “Sons of Anarchy” actor Tommy Flanagan along with KORN and taps into the dark underbelly of a bizarre world. View the video–lensed by famed rock video director Dean Karr–now here: https://youtu.be/nq9j1qkj2Vc.

Also off the forthcoming album is “Insane,” with its heavily distorted riffs and bloodcurdling deep growls. Its video-now with over four million views–was directed by Ryan Valdez and is a ghastly take on post-mortem photography or ‘memento mori,’ the practice of preserving loved ones after death with images.
