The Big Kahuna News, Tours

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and PAPA ROACH have dominated the airwaves throughout their careers. They have come together to co-headline Canadian arenas coast to coast for the first time this fall, and are thrilled to announce a newly added show in Quebec City at the Videotron Centre Arena on Monday, September 26th.

The local pre-sale & VIP packages will kick off this Wednesday, August 10 with the general ticket on-sale starting Friday, August 12. For tickets to all shows of the tour, more info and details on exclusive VIP package offerings, go to the official webpages of FFDP and Papa Roach and Sixx:A.M. The bands also announced today that the $1 from each ticket purchased will be benefiting the Canadian Red Cross in support of wildfire relief.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and PAPA ROACH actively involved the fans by giving them the opportunity to request the tour come to their city via an exclusive “demand campaign” for Canadian fans. Over 90,000 votes were cast.

Zoltan Bathory (guitar) of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH states: “We took this Demand Campaign everywhere. We had huge success with it in the USA, and in Europe it even won the “Arena Tour of the Year” award… It’s not surprising in a way as it is inclusive of the fans – they vote and we are listening. What a concept, right? Nobody learns from talking, you learn from listening.”

“When we did this tour last year in the USA, it was truly the ‘Best Tour Ever’. We heard from so many of our Canadian fans that really wanted to see this show – so we’re bringing it to them. This is one show you won’t wanna miss.” says PAPA ROACH vocalist, Jacoby Shaddix.

Special guests on the tour will be SIXX:A.M., whose current single, “Prayers For The Damned” is currently climbing up the Canadian Rock Chart. Their recent April 29 global release of the album of the same name Prayers For The Damned, Vol. 1, debuted at #1 on the US Independent Album Chart, #2 on the US Rock Albums Chart, #7 on Canada’s Billboard Top 200 Chart, and in the Top 5 Album Chart around the globe.

Five Finger Death Punch’s highly acclaimed sixth album, Got Your Six, hit new sales heights for the band around the world with its September 2015 debut, amongst them a #3 debut in Canada. In the U.S. it claimed the #1 spot on the Top Album chart, #1 on the Overall Digital Album chart, and #1 on the Hard Music Album chart, as well as #2 on the Billboard Top 200, and sold 115K in the first week of release. This was the first #1 Album for the Las Vegas hard-rockers. Impressive chart numbers also rolled in from Australia, Germany, Sweden (#5) and the UK (#6), to name a few. Five Finger Death Punch have grown exponentially in just a few years, racking up 16 consecutive US top 10 hits, five #1 hits, four gold and one platinum album. With the release of 2013’s The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell Volume 1 (recently certified gold) and Volume 2, the band created continuous new content with which they outsold the majority of bands in their genre, selling 2 million albums over the past three years in North America alone. The band is currently taking Got Your Six around the world touring throughout 2017. For more info on the band, visit: www.fivefingerdeathpunch.com

PAPA ROACH released their 8th studio album F.E.A.R. in January of 2015 which featured the #1 single, “Face Everything And Rise”, and the Top 5 single “Gravity” featuring Maria Brink of In This Moment. As of June, the band has headed back into the studio to create their 9th studio album, reinvigorated by F.E.A.R.’s success and the incredible tour cycle that followed, and eager to bring fans more music. “Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix is the human equivalent of an energy drink. He is a firecracker who also happens to be keenly self-aware, candid to a near-fault … but he hasn’t lost any of the spark that helped propel Papa Roach to multi-platinum status…” says Alternative Press. 2015 marked the 15th Anniversary of Infest the band’s breakthrough album, which has sold over 8 million albums to date.

SIXX:A.M. is Nikki Sixx, Dj Ashba, and James Michael. Their current album, Prayers For The Damned, Vol. 1, debuted at #1 on the US Independent Album Chart, #2 on the US Rock Albums Chart, #7 on Canada’s Billboard Top 200 Chart, and in the Top 5 Album Chart around the globe. The band has spent most of 2016 on the road playing major U.S. and European festivals during which they initiated a surprise call-to-action for fans to gather somewhere near the venue for an intimate impromptu acoustic set, using the hashtag, #sixxamhitandrun across their social media platforms for location details. Canadian fans can expect the band to continue this tradition on the tour.
