Gambit – one of the smoothest, best looking operators in the world. Deadpool – one of the most annoying, ugliest dirtbags around. Naturally these two have beef. Be there this June when tensions reach their boiling points in DEADPOOL V GAMBIT #1 – a new limited series from writers Ben Acker & Ben Blacker (Thunderbolts) and artist Danilo Beyruth (Gwenpool)! Did you know that the “V” stands for “Vs.”? Crazy, right? Know what’s crazier?
I’ve accepted by this point that the X-Men movies are, simply put, interpretations of the source material. You could argue that the the actual Marvel Studios films are more faithful and better than Fox’s version of the X-Men, but the series has lasted sixteen years now, rebooted itself, and even allowed Deadpool a second chance at redemption. Even with First Class and Days of Future Past being as great as they are, one must digest the fact that Fox will take creative liberties with the characters, all the while still paying respects to key elements in the lore.
Everyone’s favorite scoundrel – now starring in his very own series! Today, Marvel is pleased to present your new look inside HAN SOLO #1 – the highly anticipated Star Wars™ limited series coming to a galaxy far, far away and your local comic shops this June! A-list creators Marjorie Liu and Mark Brooks hop in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon to bring you a swashbuckling tale of high adventure in deep space!
Each year, the annual Glyph Awards recognize the best comics made by, for and about people of color – showcasing diverse voices across the comics industry. Marvel is pleased to congratulate our newest Inhuman, Lunella Lafayette, a.k.a. Moon Girl, on taking home the 2016 Glyph Award for Best Female Character. Written by Amy Reeder and Brandon Montclare (Rocket Girl) with art by Natacha Bustos (Spider-Woman), Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows the adventures of pre-teen super genius Lunella Lafayette and her prehistoric partner-in-crime on a story of unlikely friendship in the Mighty Marvel Manner!
If you knew something bad was about to happen, would you stop it? How far would you go to prevent an uncertain future? The line in the sand has been drawn, and you must decide—do you stand with Captain Marvel, or with Iron Man? That question will be answered this June as heroes and villains across the Marvel Universe make their decisions in CIVIL WAR II: CHOOSING SIDES #1!
Nick Menza’s recent passing came as a shock to the world. The former Megadeth drummer had been a part of the band’s lineup for years, being a part of the legendary album Rust in Peace and the band’s most commercially successful albums Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia, (Can’t forget Cryptic Writings, either) thus recognizing him as part of the band’s most iconic time period.
