In a world of constant remakes and reboots such as Planet of the Apes, and Mad Max, what can we say for re-vamps within the comic book industry? Chris Warner’s Barbwire comes to mind at this point. With a limited series run from 1994 to 1995, the Dark Horse team (the original CGW) backed Warner’s creation during the cyber punk and post-apocalyptic settings of the early 90’s.

Forth Worth, TX’s ominous and experimental post-everything duo PINKISH BLACK have completed the recording of their upcoming third full-length and Relapse Records debut. Recorded at Echo Lab studios in Argyle, TX this past February, the album will see a Fall release.

Southern California thrash-metal five piece, WARBRINGER have built a reputation for themselves over the past five years having recorded four albums and touring the planet with relentless drive and passion. Now after a year long hiatus, a tour of Asia, a small run of California shows and a few line up changes, they are writing this summer and plan to record in the fall. They have also just announced a full North American tour in early 2016 with Enforcer and a South American Tour in July.  

Louisiana road demons, GOATWHORE, will take to the streets again later this week on an epic North American headlining tour. With support from Ringworm, Black Breath, and labelmates, Theories, the lengthy trek will devour three-dozen venues beginning June 5th on their home turf of New Orleans and come to a close on July 12th in Atlanta. The latest run follows the band’s recent Australian and European onstage demolitions. Tickets are on sale now through all local ticket outlets.  

American metal icons, SUPERJOINT, will embark on their first tour in over a decade! Presented by frontman Philip H. Anselmo’s own Housecore Records, The It Takes Guts Summer takeover will commence on July 10th in Oklahoma City and ravage its way through thirteen US cities with additional dates to be confirmed in the coming weeks. Support will be provided by punk metal/noise rock misfits, Child Bite, and Australian grind miscreants, King Parrot, both members of the Housecore Records family.  

Neo-Thrashers HAMMERCULT from Israel have signed a new record deal with German based label SPV/Steamhammer. The first release will be the new album “Built For War”.  

The Dark Knight isn’t seeking tricks or treats when Gotham City’s most lethal villains take to the streets on Halloween night in the newest DC Comics animated film – Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, the original movie arrives from Warner Bros.
