his Music has taken a back seat to the fancies of Hollywood. With the remake of Halloween and The Devil’s Rejects recent bona fide hits, and his current endeavor “31” which has been enjoying several crowd funding successes. With all that movie fanfare, it would be no problem for Mr. Zombie to steer his interest to the bright lights of movie dom. Well even if that is the case, Rob Zombie still has the chops on the music stage. Zombie and his crew of merry men crashed through a tight set list at The Starland Ballroom the kept the room electric through out. Rob Zombie is currently on an East Coast tour promoting all things Zombie! The band played an array of classics like “Living Dead Girl”, “Dragula” and “Superbeast. The crowd was standing room only through out. Rob Zombie also had no problem shelling out some White Zombie classics, the band that started it all. “More Human than Human” and “Thunder Kiss ‘65” were just two of the past hits churned out by the band when dipping in the retro well of songs. Guitarist Jon 5 was spot on, as he has settled in comfortably into the Rob Zombie guitarist roll. Rounding out the band are bassist Piggy D and drummer Ginger Fish, formerly from Marilyn Manson.
The band also did a couple of covers which included The Ramones “Blitzkrieg Bop” and Grand Funk Railroads “We’re an American Band” When Rob Zombie and his tribe come to town, be sure to make some time to catch this show…it’s well worth it. Check out some of our pics from the show below…
