Joss Whedon is out….the Russo Brothers are in!!! Seems the powers that be at Marvel have made a course change in the Avengers movie franchise. Joss, who has directed the first two Avenger films will pass the batton to the Russo Brothers.
The Brothers directed Captain America: Winter Soldier to a highly grossing $714,000,000 globally. Joe and Anthony Russ came from a TV Comedy background with show like Happy Endings, Community and Arrested Developement. No word on why the switch. One thing to wonder about is the recent deal the brothers signed wih Sony Entertainment. The Russo’s signed a three year first look deal with the studio. No matter, he brothers will be hard at work putting together Infinity War 1 and 2. The films will be shot as one long movie starting in 2016.
