By now most people are familiar with FX’s popular show about a group of friends subjugating each other to a slew of shameful embarrassments for the soul purpose of personal hilarity.

Such humiliating antics that it leaves one to question how this group can still call each other friends. Shenanigans that would even make a janitor in Calcutta squeamish. And oh yeah there’s also fantasy football. The cast of The League sat down at this year’s NYCC to field questions from fans and talk about what is in store for the future of the show.
With all of the drama happening in the NFL off the field this year, the writers of the show have plenty of material with which to draw inspiration. Unsurprisingly they do not plan on shying away from some of the more sensitive issues, addressing everything from the Ray Rice debacle and all the domestic assault charges all of a sudden coming to light to the controversy surrounding the racially charged Washington logo.
Another staple of the show is it’s reputation for featuring some high profile guest stars such as J.J. Watt, Darren Sproles, and Jay Cutler to name a few. Well none are of higher profile than NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who will be making his long awaited premier on the show. Also planned to be featured is ex New York Jet super bowl winning quarterback Joe Namath. And for die hard fans of the show, know that the “Chinese Frittata” is expected to make a comeback appearance. The League airs on FXX on Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m.
