The Big Kahuna Hard Music, News

With the album’s #1 Debut on the BILLBOARD Hard Rock Charts (Top 20 on the overall charts) and the single “Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)” hitting the Top 20 at rock radio, HELLYEAH has made an impressive showing with their fourth album, BLOOD FOR BLOOD. The release is seeing critical acclaim from all over the world, with notable praise in the UK, Australia, Canada and the USA.

“Far beyond impressive & firing on ALL cylinders! This is exactly what we need & it’s their most Metal & dominant album EVER!” – Jose Mangin, Director of Music Programming, SiriusXM Radio (USA)

“Blood for Blood is punchy and vitriolic, full of unforgiving tracks like “Soul Killer” and “Say When,” the latter featuring Vinnie Paul’s most acrobatic drumming since Pantera… On Blood for Blood, Hellyeah’s pain is our gain” – Jon Weiderhorn / REVOLVER Magazine (USA)

“To me, this is exactly what the band needs to sound like. I’ve liked what they have put out before, but this is the best single they’ve put out.” -Evan Baran – Music Director – The Wolf/Regina, SK (Canada)

“Bolder and better than the finest of the first three albums combined” – Aaron Small, BraveWords.com(Canada)

“I’m listening to the album now, it’s REALLY good, I love it…you have my full support on plays between now and the release!” – Ian Camfield, XFM Rock Show (UK)

“”On this, their fourth album, it sounds like the backyard party has split off into a bloody carpark brawl…the band now sounds more aggressive and downright friggin’ pissed than ever before… Hellyeah really came into their own.” – BLUNT Magazine (Australia)

BLOOD FOR BLOOD is a welcome return to form. It leaves a mark, thanks to songs like the angular, vengeful “DMF,” a song birthed by the sort of anger that can’t be faked; it will leave you wondering who pissed these guys off. “Gift” is dirty, rowdy rock with equal parts groove and swagger, but also possessed of the sort of punk rock energy that would make Motorhead fans turns their heads. Then there is moodier, more contemplative fare like “Moth” or “Hush,” which connect on an emotional, cellular level, proving that you can be incredibly heavy in ways other than loud and fast. The album sounds like a re-charged HELLYEAH, taken up many notches.

The band was chosen to be Special Guests on one of the biggest US tours of the fall – the FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and VOLBEAT co-headline tour. The band is excited for the outing and plans to debut many of their new tracks during their set.
