This who are holding their breath for a new Atheist album, keep holding. Drummer Steve Flynn of the recently reunited tech metal band was involved in a pretty serious car accident near his home in Atlanta.
According to reports, the crash occurred when another vehicle pulled out in front of Flynn, who was estimated to be driving at 50 mph at the time of the crash. The Atheist drummer was transported to the hospital by ambulance, where he was treated for injuries to his wrist, neck, and jaw. Flynn is not in danger of death however, this could delay a new Atheist album from being released. No word on how serious Flynn’s injuries are, but he will require some physical therapy although the press release did mention that he is ‘improving swiftly at his home in Atlanta.’ Pray for a swift recovery for Flynn so we can have some more Atheist slaughter in our lives.
