Well, well, well, if it isn’t a new rumor to hit the scene of the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy. With a chunk of the cast already announced with many well known names there comes a new addition to the rumor list. This rumor comes in the form of everyone’s favorite Doctor Who redhead Karen Gillan. A thread on the NeoGaf forums, posted by Screen Rant, featured the following image. It’s evidently a clipping from an unknown Scottish Newspaper.Karen Gillan will have to be in good shape for her role as a gold bikini-clad alien villain in the Marvel comics superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy. The former Doctor Who star will play Angela, a flame-haired, sword-wielding bounty hunter. The 25-year old Scot – the Time Lord’s companion Amy Pond – begins filming in London later this summer.
This is all hearsay in truth, however, it all could very well be. The fact that Angela will even be a Villain is highly speculation in itself. However, with her key role in Ultron 10, the whole concept doesn’t seem as farfetched as it could be. Perhaps Zoe Saldana isn’t quite enough sex appeal for the film and Marvel needed to add in a bikini clad bounty hunter into the mix. We will find out soon enough. The film starts production this month and is supposed to air next summer. Hold your breath and cross your fingers!
