This week at the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum, Mez-itz (A brand off of Mezco Toys) released their new brand of Batman themed toys. Oh and what a sight it was. On top of the usual bright eyed and bushy tailed tourist filtering in to see what was going on there were many individuals wielding Batman costumes and even a 70’s bat mobile parked inside. On top of working the event Metal Machine was lucky enough to wander the halls of the building to be shocked and awed by it’s exhibits.
There is so much more destruction involved in this film than appears merely on screen. Amidst the drama in budgeting, rewrites of the script, and complete reshoot of the ending it was shocking to actually see this film finally make it to theaters. One would think with a multi-million hit selling book series and a producing/starring combination of Brad Pitt that this film would have ample backing to be an instant hit. Well friends, think again.
Following their recent performance at the Fifth Annual Scion Fest in Memphis, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY has announced live assaults for August. In addition to their already planned participation at Gwar’s annual BBQ, the trio will perform a headlining show in Wilmington, Delaware before heading to South America for a string of dates. The August shows mark a break from continued work in the recording studio on the band’s new album, expected for release in early 2014. “We need a little escape from the studio,” comments vocalist/bassist Mike Dean. “We thought it would be good to see the light of the day a little bit. This game looks so awesome. There hasn’t been a great Ninja Turtles game in years. Marketing is pretty decent considering they are releasing game play for all of the characters separately. They actually look like mutants for once as well from concept art. Oh, the ingenuity of gaming. Look out for this game this summer.
D.O.A., the Hardcore Punk Kings are gearing up for a farewell tour of the America’s midwest and east coast this September. As well they will tour Europe and the U.K. this October. Canada’s punk godfather Joe Keithley will lead his talented henchmen: Dirty Dan Sedan (bass) and JJ Heath (drums) on a punk rock rampage to forty, soon to be shaken to the core, cities this fall.
